To keep your items in top condition, you must handle them carefully.
STAINLESS STEEL
Stainless Steel Jewellery a steel alloy with a minimum of 10.5% chromium content by mass and a maximum of 1.2% carbon by mass.
Stainless Steel has a naturally high resistance to tarnishing and rusting.
For this reason, we use this material most in our products.
These products are water resistant, but as with any jewellery, it is best to avoid contact with chemicals to maintain their shine.
Please note that the color tone of stainless steel products is slightly darker than that of sterling silver products.
If you want to buy longer-lasting products, please choose stainless steel products.
STERLING SILVER
The best known precious metals are gold and silver.
Silver has a softer structure compared to many mines. Having a soft structure makes it difficult to process in various designs. In order to give silver a hardness that can be processed, it must be mixed with various metals such as copper.
925 Sterling Silver consists of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper.
Silver is a precious and gentle material. Please take care of these products.
When you are not using silver products, we strongly recommend that you keep them in a closed box away from light.
When not in use, silver that is exposed to air, moisture and sunlight loses its originality over time.
Tips for longer lasting jewellery:
Jewellery will eventually tarnish over time when involving metal that is gold plated & silver plated . Avoiding contact with the following can slow the tarnishing time & keep your Shine On You jewellery looking new;
• Keep away from soaps, perfumes, and chemicals.
• Clean with a soft cloth.
• Store in a dry place.
• Take it out while sleeping, taking a shower, in the pool and in the sea.
• Always remember that your jewellery should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off when dressing.
To further extend the lifespan of your jewelry, we recommend following these gentle care tips.
Water Exposure
While our jewelry is waterproof, limiting exposure to water—especially chlorinated or salt water—will help preserve the shine and gold plating. Occasional water exposure is acceptable, but removing your jewelry before swimming or showering can enhance its longevity.
During Activities
Our jewelry is sweat-proof, but for added care, we suggest removing it during high-intensity activities like workouts or heavy manual tasks. Sweat won’t damage your jewelry, but avoiding prolonged contact can help maintain its polished appearance.
Perfumes and Lotions
Though our jewelry resists perfumes and lotions, keeping these substances away from direct contact is ideal. Sprays, lotions, and oils can leave residue, so applying these products before putting on your jewelry will help maintain its brilliance over time.
Proper Storage
When not in use, store your jewelry in a cool, dry place. Keeping each piece separated will help prevent scratches or wear from friction. Preferably, storing your jewelry in soft pouches or jewelry boxes can help maintain the pristine condition of our jewelry.
Cleaning Tips
For routine care, clean your stainless-steel jewelry with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth. For gold-plated items, a quick wipe with a dry, soft cloth is all that’s needed to keep them looking new.
Handling with Care
Even if our jewelry is strong and resilient, it’s always a good idea to handle your jewelry with care. Avoid dropping or bumping it against hard surfaces to prevent any possible scratches, chips, or breakage. By following these simple care instructions, you’ll ensure that your jewelries will remain beautiful and long-lasting. Our pieces are designed to be as resilient as they are stylish, but a little extra care will go a long way.
